Mise en Plis
The exhibition features a collection of exceptional pieces by the Fédération Française de la Couture sur-mesure.
These original creations have been made from noble materials pleated by the Maison du Pli. This meticulous work demonstrates the creativity and expertise of French couture. In addition, the pieces presented were all accessorised with jewellery and ornaments specially created by Boci members.
Managed by master pleater Karen Grigorian, the Maison du Pli is the only workshop in France not to use a pleating machine in its work. Active in all artistic fields, fashion, architecture, interior design and the luxury goods industry, Karen Grigorian sublimates the material through the art of hand-made pleating.The Mise en Plis exhibition takes visitors on an unexpected journey of colour and form, where the designer’s technique is literally transcended by that of the pleater.
